Object-oriented is perhaps an unfortunate name. I refer to Smalltalk as entelechy-oriented, because Smalltalk systems are self-contained and self-complete in the sense Aristotle used entelechia as a class of things distinct from systema (best translated as ‘framework’). Unfortunately it’s not as easily digestible.
